Hello, I reserved a camping pitch space for our family in August and paid a deposit. Unfortunately we are not able to start the trip and Camping La Tour des Prises will not provide any refunds even though there are still 8 months until the date. Of course it would be ok to retain a cancellation fee. That's how you can scare away customers... We know it differently. It's a shame that it's handled so poorly.

Fab campsite. Lovely for family camping holidays. Staff friendly. Children could roam safely, very relaxed. Great location close to beach (to walk, scoot or cycle to), has a pool and in the middle for access to cycle routes... We will return.

Had 2 nights here as a stop over for going further south.. Very cramped pitches. we shared with another with what looked one pitch... All the same on this site.. So if you like your privacy.. You won't get at this site..! On arrival reception staff very non friendly... And just gave us a plan of the site with a stern look and no customer service.. Toilets and showers are mixed.. With toilet paper.. 🚽. But it's a personal thing I guess and don't like sharing a toilet and shower with a male next to me 🚿😕.. They were however very clean... Site is a bit isolated with no immediate shops or restaurants nearby.. But one lovely beach is on your doorstop with cycle paths nearby.. Price is fairly pricey for this cramped site and won't be going again as other sites are around and wished we had booked somewhere else instead...

Spotlessly clean and modern facilities, good size touring pitches and friendly welcoming reception. The site has lovely semi-covered pool for cooling down on a hot day and has a small shop which sells basics. In a good location being near to a lovely sandy beach and the pretty town of La Couarde-Sur-Mer.

This well run and tidy walled campsite is well placed in the centre of the Ile de Ré. The two facility blocks are kept clean and the showers are good and hot. The pitches are not enourmous but they all marked and many have hedges between them, some have open views over vineyards. There is some shade. We were given a cycling map at reception and you can access the network of cycle paths from the site. Its position allows you to cycle in either direction to explore the island. The site is popular and has a pool. A supermarket is a 10 minutes cycle ride away (2.5kms) on quiet roads.

We are a family of five and have stayed at this site in high season during the summers of 2013 (motorhome), 2014 (8m tent), 2015 (8m tent), 2022 (one of their rental lodges) and we have never experienced any of the negative comments …

Excellent campsite, we stayed here in a 7m motorhome and were allocated a good sized pitch. The pitches had hedges around them, the pool is excellent, staff very helpful and sanitary blocks were good. Also managed to watch some of the Tour …
